Kings & Queens Local

Supporting foster and adoptive families so kids in care feel like royalty

❤️👑 KINGS & QUEENS LOCAL

Kings & Queens Local is an organization that exists to support foster and adoptive families so kids in care feel like royalty. They believe that all kids, especially those who have been placed into foster care or adopted, should be treated like royalty, no matter their past story. They also believe that our local community has the privilege to make a positive difference in those kids’ lives. They meet once a month on Sunday nights, from October to March, at Good News Church in Okoboji. Parents have small group activities and the children have a meal together with activities.

Our part in their story is a Sunday night meal

We have volunteered to provide the food for February's meal, which will take place on February 16th. The meal will be Walking Tacos, so we need volunteers to sign up to provide one or more of the following items...

  • cooked taco meat (refrigerated)
  • large bags of Doritos
  • soft tortilla shells
  • packages of chopped lettuce
  • diced tomatoes
  • chopped black olives
  • squeeze tube sour cream
  • shredded cheese
  • ingredients for crockpot corn
  • large bags of frozen corn
  • cream
  • butter
  • bars or cookies
  • packages of bottled water
  • water flavor packets

Signup at the church this Sunday

We have a signup sheet at the church for this Sunday. The food items are due to be at Living Word by Thursday, February 13th, but can be dropped off anytime between now and then.
