On Thursday, February 13th from 4:00p - 6:00p, the Spencer Seventh-Day Adventist Church is once again holding its Mobile Food Pantry in partnership with the Food Bank of Iowa!

A mobile food pantry is a drive-thru "farmer's market" style distribution targeted toward individuals and families in need of food assistance and is free and open to the public.

RECEIVING FOOD:

If you would like to receive food from this mobile food pantry, head to the Spencer SDA Church (1910 10th Ave E Spencer) between 4:00p and 6:00p on the day of the pantry (the parking lot will not open until after 3:00p). Park on East 18th Street south of the church and please remain in your vehicle. Volunteers will register you, direct you where to go, and load your food. For cancellation or changes, listen to KICD radio.

VOLUNTEERING:

If you would like to volunteer at this mobile food pantry, you can show up at the Spencer SDA Church (1910 10th Ave E Spencer) on Tuesday, November 2nd no later than 3:30p so jobs can be assigned. You should be able to lift 20 lbs, stand outside, and not be an "at-risk individual". Masks are optional. Food will be loaded into the vehicles as they drive by from pallets that will be on the sidewalk. The church will be open for volunteers for refreshments and bathroom use or if it is cold, to warm up.
